Why have I even built a personal website (Even though I am not an expert)

"Show your work" book by Austin Kleon, is actually the reason why I decided to create this website, even though I myself including my biggest supporter told me not to do it.

Because I wanted a one single place to gather my thoughts, to express myself, and to show the world who am I. Simple.

Actually it's not that simple. I have been journalling from around 2019, and in 2023 I wrote my first blog on Hashnode, then I eventually got to know about Medium, and started writing articles there too. Even though the name of my blog is "The Daily Scribbles", I am not able to write daily there. I just write and post an article whenever I feel like writing. So I realised, for me blogging is spontaneous.

Now, I read a lot. I gather ideas from books, articles, tweets, newsletters and what not. Earlier I used to capture the ideas I loved in a notebook (I am fond of stationary by the way), then I shifted to notion way back when it just landed in the market. The tool is amazing no doubt and I still use it everyday, but as I read more, subscribed for more newsletters, I had difficulty maintaining all the ideas.

I wrote some ideas in tweets, some on hashnode, some on medium, some in my notebooks, and finally some on my notion. I have so many insights gathered but when I need something, either I never find it or find it after looking for it a whole day.

So here is the "Solution". My personal and professional repo. This website. It's not a portfolio frankly, it's just my own space to capture my phases, from learning to growing. A world headquaters where people can always find me (loved this line from the book "Show your work", page number 66)
